According to the announcement of local departments and branches, Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan provinces are urgently preparing for the operation of the two-level local government model (province, commune) after forming a new province.
Within the framework of the apparatus arrangement, the whole province has digitized nearly 50 million pages of documents including destination documents, judicial records, documents handling administrative violations, and professional documents with high traceability frequency. The province has also proposed supporting 130 billion VND from the central budget to digitize edited documents of the district level.
For the historical document block, Khanh Hoa has digitized 143,314 files with a capacity of 113 GB. The province is conducting an bidding for the digitization of more than 2 million pages of documents according to the Project for the period 2024 - 2026 approved by the Provincial People's Committee.
Meanwhile, in Ninh Thuan, the locality has completed the digitization of more than 1 million pages of historical archival documents.
In addition to digitalization, the two provinces have synchronously arranged housing and offices for nearly 2,300 cadres and civil servants transferred to the new agency after the merger. In the 24 new communes, online meeting rooms have been synchronously connected from the central to the provincial levels, ensuring the smooth operation of the two-level government model.
From now until July 1, the old commune level is responsible for handing over, receiving and handling the completed archival documents in accordance with regulations, while the district level will review, collect, collect, compile statistics, and package all available documents of the district level according to 2 types of documents and documents that have completed work and have not yet completed work.
After the merger, the Department of Home Affairs will coordinate with the Department of Finance and the Provincial Police to report to the Provincial People's Committee to allocate resources to continue protecting and processing documents in the post-merger period.
