Forecast for June 7, due to the influence of the southern edge of the low pressure trough with axis about 23-26 degrees North latitude connected to the hot low pressure area to the West, Khanh Hoa area continues to experience widespread hot sunshine. In which, the mountainous area and the south of the province are likely to experience intense hot sunshine.
The highest temperature during the day is commonly from 35-37 degrees Celsius, in some places above 38 degrees Celsius. The relative lowest humidity ranges from 40-45%. The time when the temperature exceeds 35 degrees Celsius lasts from 10 am to 4 pm daily.
The meteorological agency predicts that this heat wave is likely to last until around June 10.
Due to prolonged hot weather combined with low air humidity, the risk of fires and explosions in residential areas is increasing due to the high demand for electricity. At the same time, the risk of forest fires in the province is also high.
In addition, hot weather can affect people's health, causing dehydration, exhaustion or stroke due to heat shock if exposed to high temperatures for a long time.
Khanh Hoa Provincial Hydrometeorological Station noted that the forecast temperature in the bulletins and the actual perceived outdoor temperature may differ from 2-4 degrees Celsius, even higher in areas with strong heat-absorbing surfaces such as concrete or asphalt roads.
