On May 15, according to Hung Yen Provincial Police, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department arrested and prosecuted a group of subjects related to the act of buying, selling, and organizing the illegal use of drugs.
Previously, at 4:30 PM on May 5, 2026, the task force of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Hung Yen Provincial Police in coordination with Tran Hung Dao Ward Police inspected a boarding house in group 4 Phu Xuan, Tran Hung Dao ward, Hung Yen province.
Through inspection, functional forces discovered 2 subjects including Nguyen Ba Vu (born in 1991, residing in Vu Truong residential group, Tran Lam ward, Hung Yen province) and Le Anh Tuan (born in 1988, residing in group 21, Tran Lam ward, Hung Yen province) who were organizing the illegal use of drugs in a rented room.
At the scene, the police agency seized a set of ice drug use tools including a plastic bottle with a plastic tube attached to the lid and some other items that Vu and Tuan used to use drugs.
Test results showed that both subjects tested positive for Methamphetamine (ice drug).
Working with the police agency, Le Anh Tuan and Nguyen Ba Vu confessed that the drugs used were contacted by Vu to buy from Dao Quang Lam (born in 1994, residing at Ly Bon street, group 9 Tien Phong, Thai Binh ward, Hung Yen province).
On the same day, the Investigation Police Agency of Hung Yen Provincial Police summoned Dao Quang Lam to work. Here, Lam confessed to the entire act of selling drugs to Nguyen Ba Vu. Conducting an emergency search of the subject's residence, functional forces discovered and seized 0.4235g of Methamphetamine.
Based on documents and evidence collected, on May 11, 2026, the Investigation Police Agency of Hung Yen Provincial Police initiated a case and prosecuted defendants Le Anh Tuan and Nguyen Ba Vu for the act of organizing the illegal use of narcotics under Article 255 of the Penal Code; and prosecuted defendants Dao Quang Lam for the act of illegally trading narcotics under Article 251 of the Penal Code.
The Investigation Police Agency of Hung Yen Provincial Police is continuing to investigate and consolidate the file for handling according to the provisions of law.
