On July 31, according to information from Vinh Long Provincial Police, the Investigation Police Agency issued a decision to prosecute a criminal case and prosecute the defendant Le Hoang Ba Tuoc (born in 1996, residing in Binh Tan hamlet, Binh My commune, An Giang province) to investigate the act of violating regulations on road traffic participation.
According to initial investigation, on May 4, while waiting for goods to be delivered, Tuoc drank beer with the loaders and then returned to the truck to rest. At about 2 am on May 5, Tuoc drove the truck on National Highway 54 in the direction of An Giang province.
When arriving at the curved road section in front of 2/9 Park, in Thanh Quoi hamlet, Tan Quoi commune, Vinh Long province, the truck driven by Tuoc collided with a motorbike traveling in the opposite direction driven by Mr. H.V. U (born 1972, residing in Tan Quoi commune, Vinh Long province).
As a result, Mr. U was seriously injured and died later.
The investigation results determined that the main cause of the accident was that Le Hoang Ba Tuoc drove a truck in the wrong lane and drove the vehicle when he was in alcohol.
The Investigation Police Agency of Vinh Long Provincial Police is continuing to investigate and handle the case according to the provisions of law.
