On July 23, Phu Lam Commune Police said that the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Provincial Police has issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the defendant and execute the arrest warrant for temporary detention against Mac Thanh Tien, born in 1998, permanently residing in Cho Vam commune, An Giang province to investigate the act of "Illegal use of narcotics".
Previously, at about 3 pm on July 2, 2026, during patrols to ensure security and order in the area, the police force discovered Mac Thanh Tien, showing suspicious signs, so they invited him to the headquarters to work.
Through rapid testing and urine sample testing, the results determined that Tien tested positive for Methamphetamine. Through verification, Mac Thanh Tien is a subject undergoing post-drug rehabilitation management at his place of residence.
Currently, the Provincial Police Investigation Agency is continuing to investigate and clarify to handle it strictly according to the provisions of law.
