Timely first aid and support for Japanese tourist fainting while cycling in Lao Cai

Lao Cai - Lam Giang Commune Police coordinated with medical and military forces to provide first aid, take tourists to the health station and take care of them until their health is stable.

On August 19, Lao Cai Provincial Police said that Lam Giang Commune Police had just coordinated with functional forces to promptly provide first aid and take a Japanese tourist to the health station after this person fainted while cycling.

Previously, at about 2:40 pm on August 18, in the area of Hop Lam village, Lam Giang commune, a man was riding a bicycle when he suddenly fainted.

Immediately upon receiving the news, Lam Giang Commune Police quickly coordinated with the Commune Health and Military forces to the scene.

Here, the forces performed initial first aid, then took the man to the Health Station for further examination and care.

After a period of being supported by medical staff and functional forces, the man gradually recovered.

Through verification, this person is Mr. TONOOKA YOSHINORI, born on October 17, 1979, Japanese nationality.

Mr. TONOOKA YOSHINORI entered Vietnam on May 28, 2026 for tourism purposes.

During the cycling journey, he passed through Lam Giang commune and suddenly fainted.

After his health showed signs of stabilizing, Lam Giang Commune Police continued to pay attention, buying porridge, milk and some essential necessities for Mr. TONOOKA YOSHINORI to use and supplement his physical strength.

The thoughtful support of functional forces helps tourists have more time to rest before continuing their journey.

After his health was completely stable, Mr. TONOOKA YOSHINORI thanked Lam Giang Commune Police, functional forces and local people for their dedicated help.

After that, Japanese tourists continued their cycling tour, heading towards Bao Ha commune.

The quick arrival, first aid and transportation of tourists to the health station demonstrated the spirit of responsibility and proactiveness of functional forces at the grassroots level.
