Accordingly, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province requested the Provincial Police to direct professional departments and police of communes, wards, special zones, especially border areas, to review and compile a list of Vietnamese subjects who used to lead and organize criminal activities in Cambodia.
According to Colonel Dau Xuan Bao, Deputy Director of Lam Dong Provincial Police, the police force has coordinated with the Border Guard to implement measures to fight and manage subjects related to various types of crimes.
In which, focus on crimes such as drugs, smuggling, fraud, human trafficking, organizing gambling, trading in weapons, explosives, supporting tools... to deter and prevent violations of the law.
At the same time, strengthen the work of grasping the situation, managing the area, managing the subjects; proactively deploy plans to ensure security and order.
From there, mobilize people to raise their vigilance against tricks to lure them to Cambodia to participate in illegal activities.
The Provincial Military Command is assigned to strengthen patrols and control of border lines, entry and exit activities; promptly detect and strictly handle cases of illegal border crossing.
Forces strengthen coordination with the Provincial Police to grasp the situation, especially at Bu Prang and Dak Puer border gates, in order to prevent and stop violations of the law.
Departments, branches, mass organizations and People's Committees of localities promote propaganda, dissemination, and legal education, raising people's awareness of tricks to seduce and lure them to Cambodia.
Through this, propagate and mobilize people to strictly comply with legal regulations and actively participate in crime prevention and control.
According to leaders of Lam Dong province, in the past time, the representative agency of the Ministry of Public Security in Cambodia has coordinated with the Royal Cambodian Police to fight and dismantle many lines and groups operating illegally in autonomous areas, including Vietnamese people participating.
Meanwhile, domestic functional forces are strengthening security control, leading to a situation where many people return to Vietnam from Cambodia, including many criminals and social evils.
Therefore, localities need to proactively and synchronously implement measures to ensure political security and social order and safety, especially in communes bordering Cambodia.
