On April 17, Mr. Nguyen Cong Hoang - Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee inspected the implementation of construction projects in Dak Pek commune, in order to promptly remove difficulties and urge the progress of key projects in the locality.
The delegation inspected the actual works including: Traffic road from Dak Pek commune to the center of Xop commune; dyke against landslides on the West bank of the Po Ko River (section from Kim Dong Elementary School to suspension bridge through Dak Pek Ethnic Minority Boarding School) and Dak Tung bridge area.

According to the report, the road from Dak Pek commune to the center of Xop commune is one of 4 projects under the 2026 public investment capital plan from the local budget.
Currently, the contractor is focusing on constructing key items such as excavating and filling the roadbed, installing horizontal drainage culverts and constructing a reinforced concrete bridge across the Dak Choong stream. The value of completed volume reached about 9.82% of the contract.
Through inspection, Mr. Nguyen Cong Hoang requested local authorities to urgently review and develop a site clearance plan, develop a compensation and support plan in accordance with regulations; and at the same time soon complete the dossier and submit it to the Department of Agriculture and Environment for consideration of land allocation for construction deployment.
In addition, it is necessary to strengthen coordination with relevant units, proactively remove arising difficulties, and ensure project progress and quality.
For the Po Ko West bank landslide prevention embankment project, the contractor is implementing items such as pouring embankment foundation concrete, casting slabs and stacking stone cages to protect the taluy slope. Up to now, the construction volume has reached about 50%.
In the Dak Tung bridge area, through current status inspection and local reports, the Dak Tung village overflow bridge project has been damaged, affecting people's travel. The Commune People's Committee has submitted a petition to the Provincial People's Committee to consider allocating funds for new construction investment, ensuring synchronous bridge and access road scale according to regulations for emergency projects.
On that basis, Mr. Nguyen Cong Hoang proposed that the locality study a suitable design plan, which can calculate the scale of 2 lanes or organize reasonable traffic, meeting long-term and safe travel needs for people.
On this occasion, Mr. Nguyen Cong Hoang presented gifts to 10 households in difficult circumstances in Dak Pek commune, encouraging households to strive to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.
