On April 7, Mr. Nguyen Cong Hoang - Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee and relevant departments and agencies went to inspect the actual situation of urgent remedial works in Son Tay and Son Tay Ha communes.
Mr. Nguyen Cong Hoang inspected the actual implementation of the construction project to overcome damage to DH. 83 and DH. 83C routes in the communes of Son Tay and Son Tay Ha and overcome the consequences of natural disasters caused by rain and floods on the Son Thuong - Son Tinh road.
The project to repair damage to DH. 83 and DH. 83C routes is being implemented under an urgent construction order, with a total cost of nearly 29 billion VND. Up to now, the contractors have basically completed procedures, mobilized manpower and equipment to carry out construction.
Some key items have been implemented such as reinforcing slopes with stone cages, constructing culverts, retaining walls, and clearing landslides on the route. The implemented volume reached about 10% of the contract value.
For the disaster recovery project on the Son Thuong - Son Tinh route, construction has been completed, and the acceptance and handover dossiers are being completed for use.
Through inspection, Mr. Nguyen Cong Hoang highly appreciated the proactive and urgent spirit of the Department of Construction and construction units immediately after receiving the emergency order; and at the same time requested to continue to closely monitor the scene, mobilize maximum manpower and equipment, organize flexible construction, and take advantage of favorable weather to accelerate progress.
Contractors must strictly comply with technical procedures, ensure quality, labor safety and traffic safety. Local authorities need to be more drastic in mobilizing land handover, thoroughly handling obstacles, and not allowing them to affect the overall progress.
Mr. Nguyen Cong Hoang requested units to focus highly, determined to complete the project on schedule, even ahead of schedule, contributing to overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, ensuring traffic and stabilizing people's lives.
