On April 15, the Steering Committee of the "For the Poor" Fund of Quang Ngai province held a meeting to assess the operating results of the Steering Committee in 2025, and deploy directions and tasks for 2026.
In 2025, the Fund "For the Poor" Mobilization Boards at all levels in the province have promoted propaganda, mobilization, and mobilized the joint efforts of organizations, businesses and people inside and outside the province, thereby creating an important resource for implementing social security work.
In the last 6 months of 2025 alone, the Provincial "For the Poor" Fund Mobilization Board mobilized and received more than 8.6 billion VND, raising the total Fund source to nearly 20.4 billion VND. From this resource, more than 2.2 billion VND has been allocated to build 16 Great Solidarity houses; supporting unexpected difficult cases; and giving nearly 1,000 gifts to poor households, near-poor households and vulnerable groups.
At the grassroots level, in the last 6 months of 2025, communes, wards and special zones in the province mobilized more than 5.6 billion VND, raising the total mobilized fund to over 10.5 billion VND. Through this, more than 1.2 billion VND has been allocated to support housing construction and repair, support livelihoods, scholarships and care for people's lives.
The total source of the "For the Poor" Fund in the whole province reached nearly 31 billion VND, making an important contribution to caring for the lives of the poor, near-poor households and vulnerable groups in the area.
Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, Mr. U Huan - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF), Head of the Fund Mobilization Board "For the Poor" of Quang Ngai province - acknowledged and highly appreciated the results of mobilization and social security care in the past time. At the same time, he pointed out some difficulties, especially the requirement to adapt to the two-level local government model.
In the coming time, it is necessary to continue to innovate propaganda work, diversify forms of mobilization, and mobilize maximum social resources with the spirit of "each month is a peak for the poor". Strengthen inspection and supervision of the management and use of the Fund; prioritize supporting livelihoods, creating jobs, helping the poor rise out of poverty sustainably, contributing to the implementation of the goal of "leaving no one behind".
