On April 9, Phuoc Thang Ward People's Committee (HCMC) said that functional forces had discovered and filed a case of secretly dumping waste against regulations in a public place.
Previously, in the late afternoon of April 8, during patrols and inspections to detect violations in the field of environment, the Phuoc Thang Ward Military force discovered a man secretly dumping 2 large sacks of garbage on A3 road (near Cau Chay intersection). This person was taken to the Phuoc Thang Ward People's Committee headquarters for work.
During the working process, this person declared his name as N.M. K, who is a freelancer and residing on Do Luong street. However, this person did not admit to violating the environmental field by carrying out the act of dumping waste not in accordance with regulations.
Therefore, functional forces clearly explained the relevant regulations and made a record of administrative violation. At the same time, requested Mr. K to clean up all dumped waste and restore the original state to the area.
According to Phuoc Thang Ward People's Committee, while the entire political system and the majority of people in the area are making efforts to maintain general hygiene, at times more than 500 people joined forces to clean up public places, a small part has ignored legal regulations, being indifferent to the common efforts of the government and people in the area.
In the coming time, functional forces will continue to strengthen patrols, inspections, and apply technology to detect and will strictly handle the situation of secretly dumping waste into the environment, in order to maintain urban beauty and living environment in the area.
