Huong Tra Ward Police (Da Nang City) has continuously arrested the following subjects: Vu Truong Han (born in 1991, residing in Residential Group 5, Huong Tra Ward) and Nguyen Manh Cuong (born in 1987, residing in Residential Group 7, Huong Tra Ward) to investigate the act of "illegally using drugs" under Article 256a of the Penal Code.
Through the management of the area, the suspect was involved in drug-related crimes. On September 29, Huong Tra Ward Police discovered that Vu Truong Han had illegally used drugs. Vu Truong Han is a subject who is undergoing drug addiction treatment with alternative drugs (with Methadone). Through the investigation, it was determined that on September 27, Han had bought crystal meth to use.
Then, on October 2, Huong Tra Ward Police fought and clarified Nguyen Manh Cuong's illegal use of drugs. At the police station, Cuong confessed that at around 8:00 a.m. on October 2, Cuong bought heroin and then took it home for use. Cuong is a subject under post-rehabilitation management.
It is known that in recent times, Huong Tra Ward Police have proactively and drastically implemented measures to prevent and combat crimes and drug abuse, in parallel with fighting and investigating illegal drug trafficking, storage and use activities.
The ward police have focused on identification and strict management of subjects suspected of being used, addicted and related to drugs in the area. In addition, most recently, on October 6, the ward police took Nguyen Phung Vinh (born in 1992, residing in Residential Group 3) and Nguyen Dang Tan Tai (born in 1989, residing in Residential Group 5) to compulsory drug rehabilitation.
