On the afternoon of July 20, the Military Command of An Giang province organized the Launching Ceremony of the emulation movement to successfully implement annual military and national defense tasks and the period 2026 - 2030. The movement aims to create new motivation, promote the spirit of solidarity, innovation, creativity, and determination to build the province's armed forces to be comprehensively strong, "model and typical".
At the ceremony, the An Giang Provincial Military Command organized the launch of an emulation movement with the theme "An Giang Armed Forces emulation to successfully implement annual military and national defense tasks and the period 2026 - 2030".
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Colonel Cao Minh Tam, Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, emphasized that the movement aims to arouse the will of self-reliance, self-strengthening, the spirit of innovation, creativity and high political determination of officers and soldiers; create motivation to successfully implement military and national defense tasks in the new period, contributing to building the revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern provincial armed forces.
Accordingly, the emulation movement focuses on implementing three key contents including: building strong agencies and units in terms of politics, ideology and organization; improving the quality of advising on the implementation of military and national defense tasks, building a solid all-people national defense and defense area; promoting the implementation of breakthroughs in perfecting military and national defense institutions, developing high-quality human resources, applying science and technology, innovation and digital transformation. At the same time, continue to improve the quality of training, combat readiness, building regularity, managing discipline, taking good care of policy work, the Army rear and effectively deploying the 500-day and-night Campaign to promote the search, repatriation and identification of martyrs' remains.
The movement also identifies three breakthrough stages including perfecting military and defense institutions; developing high-quality human resources; promoting the application of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, striving to build a team of officers and soldiers to master technology, gradually forming a "digital soldier" force in the entire provincial armed forces. The emulation movement is implemented from 2026 to 2030, divided into two phases: phase 2026 - September 2028 and phase September 2028 - September 2030.
At the ceremony, representatives of agencies under the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Border Guard Command, Regiment 892 and Regiment 893 signed emulation agreements, showing determination to successfully implement the goals and targets of the movement.
