Deploying a peak period of inspection and handling of alcohol concentration violations throughout the area, the Traffic Police force has closely coordinated with the commune-level police, focusing on inspections on key routes, especially areas near restaurants and bars - places with high potential risks of traffic accidents.

In just the first two days of implementation (October 18 and 19), the working groups have issued fines for 353 cases of alcohol concentration violations, collecting more than 1.3 billion VND to the budget. Of which, 20 cases had their driving licenses revoked, and 236 cases had points deducted from the management system.
According to the plan, the traffic police force will maintain regular inspections during two peak hours: from 12:00 to 14:30 and from 19:00 to 22:00 - the time when violations related to the use of alcohol and beer when driving vehicles often occur.
The leader of the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Province Police affirmed that this peak period is carried out in the spirit of "no forbidden areas, no exceptions", not only to strictly punish but also to contribute to changing the awareness and behavior of traffic participants, towards the goal of reducing accidents and building a safe and civilized traffic culture.
