From March 1, Nghe An Provincial Police received the work of testing and granting driving licenses from the Department of Transport. The work of issuing and exchanging driving licenses has been implemented smoothly from the very beginning. To date, the "One-stop" department of the Traffic Police Department has received and processed more than 8,600 records, of which more than 6,500 records were submitted directly and more than 2,000 records were submitted online.
Regarding personnel, the Traffic Police Department has coordinated to organize training for prosecutors, complete the installation of testing management software and assign specific tasks. The testing centers are responsible for facilities, while the testing team and exam council are responsible for the police force.
According to the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Province Police, from May 15, the unit plans to organize an exam every day, with a total of 19 exams in May. In the first round on May 8, there will be 423 students taking the exam, including 223 new students and 200 people taking the exam again because their licenses have expired.
According to the new regulations effective from March 1, the issuance of driving licenses will be shortened and electronic identification will be integrated. The driver's license will be issued within 7 working days if it meets the requirements; the electronic copy will be integrated within 3 working days.
People with a driver's license expired for less than 1 month due to force majeure will not have to retake the theory test. If the deadline is less than 1 year, theoretical testing is required; if the deadline is 1 year or more, both theory and practice exams must be taken.
Cases of traffic safety violations that have not been fully handled will not be allowed to compete. Those who do not pass the test can re-register at the Traffic Police Department.
