Stopped at red lights for over 100 seconds at the largest intersection in Ho Chi Minh City 3 times
At noon on January 16, at the An Phu intersection (Thu Duc City), traffic congestion persisted on major roads such as Mai Chi Tho, Luong Dinh Cua, Nguyen Thi Dinh and Dong Van Cong. Container trucks, cars and motorbikes jostled each other, inching forward.
At the first intersection of Mai Chi Tho - Dong Van Cong, the red light waiting time was up to 124 seconds, while the green light only lasted about 45 seconds. After passing this intersection, the traffic traveled about 30m and then encountered a second red light lasting 122 seconds to give way to vehicles turning right from Dong Van Cong to Mai Chi Tho. Having just passed the second red light, the vehicles could only go about 150m before having to stop at the An Phu intersection, where the red light lasted 116 seconds.

Thai Binh peach village is busy transporting peach blossoms to the South for Tet.
With only two weeks left until Tet, peach garden owners in Hong Viet commune (Dong Hung district) are busy shipping peaches to the South to sell for Tet.
Mr. Tran Huy Tuong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Hong Viet Commune (Dong Hung District) said: "Currently, the peach growing area in the commune is more than 30 hectares, about 200 households. For local people, this is the peak time to determine the results of a year of hard work. Therefore, our local government has created favorable conditions to help with tree gathering places, ensuring security and order, traffic safety so that people can feel secure in transporting trees to sell for Tet."

Gasoline prices increased simultaneously from the afternoon of January 16.
In today's adjustment session on January 16, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased compared to the previous adjustment period, at VND20,750/liter (an increase of VND319/liter). The price of RON 95-III gasoline increased compared to the previous adjustment period, at VND21,220/liter (an increase of VND201/liter).
Prices of petroleum products also increased simultaneously. Of which, diesel 0.05S is priced at 19,782 VND/liter (up 539 VND/liter); kerosene has a new price of 19,706 VND (up 462 VND/liter); fuel oil is priced at 17,181 VND/kg (up 999 VND/kg).
