Plan to reclaim 4,200m2 of Dong Da Lake peninsula
Dong Da District plans to reclaim 4,200 square meters of Dong Da Lake peninsula to create public space, build symbols, make squares and plant trees.
Speaking to the press, Mr. Trinh Huu Tuan - Vice Chairman of Dong Da District People's Committee said that Dong Da Lake peninsula, 5,600 square meters wide, is being managed and exploited by Ha Thuy Investment and Development Company. This company is leased for 50 years, starting from 2010.
It is expected that about 3/4 of the peninsula's area (about 4,200 square meters) will be reclaimed to make a public area. Vice Chairman of Dong Da District Trinh Huu Tuan said that reclaiming and renovating the peninsula is part of the overall lake renovation project.

Ben Tre aims for 4,000 hectares of high-tech shrimp farming
Oriented to develop to the East, Ben Tre sets a specific goal of developing 4,000 hectares of high-tech shrimp farming by the end of 2025.
Mr. Nguyen Vo Nhat Duy - Acting Head of Planning and Finance Division (Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ben Tre province) - said that in the first 9 months of 2024, the high-tech shrimp farming industry of Ben Tre province earned 532 million USD. Accumulated from 2021 to present, the high-tech shrimp farming industry has earned 1,758 billion USD.
Ben Tre province has developed 3,509 hectares of high-tech shrimp farming, reaching 87.73% of the plan for the 2021 - 2025 period. Of which, Binh Dai reached 1,754 hectares, Thanh Phu 1,328 hectares and Ba Tri 427 hectares. The average annual output of high-tech shrimp farming reached 50,000 tons/year, accounting for 50% of the province's brackish water shrimp output.

375 billion VND to rescue heavily flooded roads due to high tides in Ho Chi Minh City
Ho Chi Minh City has decided to spend 245 billion VND to upgrade and renovate Tran Xuan Soan Street (District 7) to prevent flooding and 130 billion VND to build embankments along this road.
On the morning of September 27, during the 18th session of the 10th term Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, the city approved the investment policy for two flood prevention projects for Tran Xuan Soan Street - one of the streets that is often heavily affected by high tides.
The investment in building embankments and upgrading Tran Xuan Soan Street not only helps reduce flooding, but also contributes to protecting existing embankments, ensuring infrastructure and environmental sanitation. In addition, the project also creates more green space, helps to beautify the urban area and beautify the landscape of the area.
