Final steps before installing the pontoon bridge to replace Phong Chau bridge
According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper on the afternoon of September 25, a large number of officers and soldiers of Brigade 249 - Engineer Corps along with many vehicles and machines were mobilized to prepare for the installation of a pontoon bridge to replace the Phong Chau bridge that collapsed on September 9.
The location of the pontoon bridge is about 400m downstream of the Red River from the site of the Phong Chau bridge collapse. The river wharf on the left bank belongs to Phung Nguyen commune, Lam Thao district, the river wharf on the right bank belongs to Huong Non commune, Tam Nong district.
