Water level is nearly 61m, the largest hydroelectric reservoir in the South discharges floodwater from 4 gates
Tri An Hydropower Reservoir continues to discharge floodwater through the spillway with the total discharge downstream increasing from 1,440 m3/s - 1,490 m3/s, discharging from 4 gates.
According to the announcement of Tri An Hydropower Company on increasing the spillway to regulate the Tri An Hydropower reservoir, at 8:00 a.m. on September 25, the upstream water level of the reservoir was nearly 61m (safety level is 62m), the downstream water level at the plant was 5.7m, the water flow to the reservoir was 1,400m3/s. The water flow through the spillway was 480m3/s, the water flow through the power generation turbine was 830m3/s.
To ensure flood prevention capacity, combined with the downstream water level at Bien Hoa Hydrological Station having passed the peak tide and being lower than 1.5m, Tri An Hydropower Plant increased the amount of water released to regulate the reservoir.
At 2:00 p.m. on September 25, the water flow through the spillway was 640 cubic meters per second, the water flow through the turbine was 800-850 cubic meters per second, and the total water flow downstream was 1,440-1,490 cubic meters per second.

A series of "black spots" on National Highway 3 through Bac Kan are being eliminated.
The Department of Transport of Bac Kan province has allocated more than 55 billion VND to repair the road surface and remove black spots that pose safety risks on National Highway 3, the section passing through the area.
According to the reporter's records on September 23, after a temporary break due to floods, the work of repairing the road surface and removing black spots on National Highway 3 has resumed. Workers and machinery have been mobilized to reinforce and widen the road surface and curbs, combined with digging and widening the slope.
On September 25, speaking with reporters, Mr. Leng Van Chien - Director of the Department of Transport of Bac Kan province - said that the project to upgrade, repair and handle traffic safety points on National Highway 3 will be completed in 2024.

Hundreds of tons of garbage washed ashore in Quang Binh
After days of heavy rain, affected by storm No. 4, hundreds of tons of garbage drifted to the beaches of Bao Ninh, Nhat Le, and Quang Phu in Dong Hoi City, Quang Binh Province.
According to the Dong Hoi City Public Service Management Board, this amount of garbage flows from upstream along the river and washes up on the coast.
The main types of garbage here include large tree stumps, branches, reeds and household items such as: shirts, pants, hats, shoes... The amount of garbage dumped here is hundreds of tons, so the cleanup work takes many consecutive days.
