Gasoline prices increased simultaneously from the afternoon of January 2.
In the adjustment session on January 2, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased compared to the previous adjustment period, at VND20,057/liter (up VND240/liter). The price of RON 95-III gasoline increased compared to the previous adjustment period, at VND20,746/liter (up VND199/liter).
Prices of petroleum products also increased simultaneously. Of which, diesel 0.05S is priced at 18,755 VND/liter (up 125 VND/liter); kerosene has a new price of 18,834 VND (up 126 VND/liter); mazut is priced at 16,099 VND/kg (up 129 VND/kg).

Driving on the sidewalk, the driver was surprised by the fine of 5 million VND
On the morning of January 2, the Tan Son Nhat Traffic Police Team, Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police Department set up a checkpoint, inspected and handled violations of the Road Traffic Law at the Cong Hoa - Ut Tich intersection (Tan Binh District). During the checkpoint, the Team focused on handling violations such as: not obeying traffic lights, driving in the wrong direction, driving on the sidewalk... These are violations with increased administrative penalties according to Decree 168.
At around 9am, the traffic police discovered Mr. H.M.T (born in 1995) driving on the sidewalk, so they stopped the vehicle for inspection and issued an administrative fine. According to Decree 168, for this violation, Mr. T will be fined 4-6 million VND (previously, the fine was 400,000-600,000 VND), and 2 points will be deducted from his driver's license.

Hanoi ranked 2nd in the world for pollution, many measuring points at hazardous levels
According to the IQAir air quality index application, at 10am - near noon, Hanoi was still at the second most polluted level in the world with AQI 288. Notably, many measuring points reached the brown threshold - the threshold of pollution that is harmful to human health.
