Incident on Bien Hoa - Vung Tau highway due to crane skidding

On January 1, the Cai Mep - Thi Vai Regional Traffic Project Management Board, the contractor and the supervising consultant made a record of the incident, determining the cause of the incident that occurred during the construction of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Component 3 project (section through Ba Ria - Vung Tau province).

Through verification, this was an incident during the beam installation process, there were no human casualties. The incident occurred when the crane's tire-mounted crane slipped, reversed and hit the edge beam, causing the entire beam system to shift, damaging 9 I33 beam slabs.

Construction across holidays on key traffic projects

To speed up progress, on New Year's Day, January 1, 2025, workers on many key traffic projects in the North Central provinces will still focus on construction.

In Quang Binh province, on New Year's Day, contractors organized 75 construction teams for the North-South Expressway project; mobilized about 635 pieces of equipment and machinery of all kinds. The total number of officers, engineers and workers participating in the construction was 1,455 people.
