Gasoline prices drop across the board from this afternoon
Gasoline prices have decreased simultaneously since 3:00 p.m. today (October 17) after adjustments by the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance. In today's adjustment session, RON 95 gasoline price decreased compared to the previous adjustment period, at 20,960 VND/liter (down 100 VND/liter). E5 RON 92 gasoline price decreased compared to the previous adjustment period, at 19,730 VND/liter (down 110 VND/liter).
Prices of some oil products increased and some decreased. Of which, diesel price decreased by 180 VND, now at 18,320 VND/liter; kerosene has a new price of 18,620 VND (down 170 VND/liter); mazut has a new price of 16,090 VND/kg (up 180 VND/kg).

Evacuation of people in flooded areas due to floods in Binh Thuan
Floodwaters rose, causing widespread flooding in many dragon fruit gardens and residential areas along the flood discharge route in Ham Thuan Bac district. Local police and militia forces have deployed plans to evacuate people from potentially unsafe flooded areas to other places, especially the elderly, from flooded areas.
People at Song Cai Bridge said that the water level rose from 2am on October 17 and by 5am the same day, it had risen, causing the bridge to be flooded. According to the Binh Thuan Province Irrigation Works Exploitation Company, on the evening of October 16, there was heavy rain in the upstream areas of Song Quao and Song Khan lakes, causing a large amount of water to flow into the lake.

When will the first cold spell appear?
According to the representative of the meteorological agency, the first severe cold spell of this winter is likely to appear in the second half of December. From August 2024 to the first half of October 2024, the North will experience two cold spells on September 22 and October 1.
