Many vehicles switch to Vung Tau - Can Gio ferries to avoid traffic jams on the highway and National Highway 51

Many vehicles choose to take a ferry from Vung Tau to Can Gio to get to Ho Chi Minh City and vice versa, to avoid congestion on the highway and National Highway 51. On July 19, it was noted that at the Vung Tau - Can Gio ferry terminal in Ben Da area (Vung Tau ward, Ho Chi Minh City), there were quite a lot of vehicles waiting to board the ferry to Can Gio, going to Ho Chi Minh City. Mr. Lam (16-seat bus driver) said that this was the second time he took the Vung Tau - Can Gio ferry route to bring passengers to Ho Chi Minh City. The cost of a ferry trip is 450,000 VND for a 16-seat vehicle not including passengers.

Through the agreement, customers also agreed to support this additional cost to shorten time, instead of spending more time on other routes.

Heavy thunderstorms, hail in Quang Ninh

The old Ha Long City area at around 1:30 p.m. today (July 19) had very heavy thunderstorms and hail. Immediately after heavy rain with strong winds, hail appeared. Outside the streets in Ha Lam ward, hail appeared, mainly larger than the head of the stick. The pouring hail sounded brilliantly on the corrugated iron roofs. Many houses still opened their windows, and small hail flooded into their houses. The hail will last about 10-15 and stop when the rain and wind have stopped.

Meanwhile, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, during the day and tonight (July 19), Typhoon Wipha will move rapidly west-northwest at a speed of 20-25km/h, likely entering the East Sea, about 740km east-southeast of the Lusian Peninsula (China). The strongest wind near the storm center is level 10 (89-102 km/h), gusting to level 12.
