Ho Chi Minh City will build a bridge connecting Binh Thanh and District 12, with a capital of more than 1,100 billion VND.
The Management Board of Urban Infrastructure Construction Investment Projects of Ho Chi Minh City recently proposed the Department of Transport of Ho Chi Minh City to consider and report to the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to invest in the construction of Vam Thuat Bridge (across the Vam Thuat River) connecting Binh Thanh District and District 12.
The right bank of the bridge belongs to Ward 13, Binh Thanh District, connecting directly to Dang Thuy Tram Street. The left bank belongs to An Phu Dong Ward, District 12, where there is currently no existing traffic route, only the planned extension of Vuon Lai Street.
The total investment for the construction of Vam Thuat Bridge is estimated at 1,136 billion VND, of which 329 billion VND is for construction costs, and the remaining 807 billion VND will be for compensation and site clearance.

Heavy rain forecast to continue in the South
According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, widespread thunderstorms continue in the South. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind. Beware of the possibility of heavy rain causing localized flooding in low-lying areas and areas with poor drainage capacity.

Record of underage driving students
At noon on October 8, the Hang Xanh Traffic Police Team, under the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police, set up a checkpoint to check and handle students violating the Road Traffic Law at the intersection of Pham Van Dong - National Highway 13 (Thu Duc City).
At around 11:30 a.m., the task force discovered T.N. wearing a school uniform and backpack, driving a motorbike over 50cc through the checkpoint, so they asked him to stop the vehicle for inspection.
Upon checking, the traffic police discovered that T.N did not have a driver’s license. T.N said that he was a 12th grade student at a high school in Go Vap district, and was on his way home after his morning class.
