Ho Chi Minh City starts construction of Metro Line 2 worth more than 55,000 billion VND, passing through 14 wards
According to Mr. Phan Cong Bang - Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Management Board (MAUR), Metro Line 2 has a total length of nearly 11.27 km. In which, the underground section is 9.3 km long, the elevated section is about 2 km. The project is invested with a scale of 10 underground stations, 1 elevated station and 1 depot area, with a total investment of more than 55,000 billion VND, using entirely Ho Chi Minh City budget capital.
The route starts from Ben Thanh station and ends at Tham Luong depot, passing through 14 wards including: Ben Thanh, Ban Co, Xuan Hoa, Hoa Hung, Vuon Lai, Nhieu Loc, Tan Hoa, Tan Son Nhat, Bay Hien, Tan Binh, Tan Son, Tay Thanh, Tan Son Nhi and Dong Hung Thuan.

Phu Quoc - Tho Chau high-speed train licensed to operate from January 19, 2026
On January 15, leaders of Tho Chau Special Zone People's Committee (An Giang) said that the Department of Construction has just issued a document approving Superdong - Kien Giang High-Speed Ferry Joint Stock Company to operate a fixed passenger transport route from the shore to the island on the Phu Quoc - Tho Chau route and vice versa.

Accordingly, the Phu Quoc - Tho Chau route and vice versa will be operated by the Superdong V high-speed train. This is a vehicle with modern technical specifications, ensuring maritime safety; capacity of 275 passengers; total main engine capacity of 1,518 KW. The high-speed train from Phu Quoc - Tho Chau officially operates from January 19, the train operates at a frequency of 1 trip/day, from Monday to Saturday every week.

Gasoline prices simultaneously increase from 3 pm today, January 15th
In today's adjustment session on January 15, gasoline prices simultaneously increased compared to the previous week's price adjustment period. In which, E5 RON 92 gasoline has a price of 18,376 VND/liter (up 143 VND/liter). RON 95-III gasoline has a price of 18,712 VND/liter (up 152 VND/liter).
Prices of oil products fluctuated in opposite directions. Diesel 0.05S priced at 17,287 VND/liter (up 226 VND/liter); kerosene had a new price of 17,697 VND/liter (up 138 VND/liter); mazut oil 180CST 3.5S priced at 13,401 VND/kg (down 2 VND/kg).
