HCMC is about to increase to 142 wards, reducing to 25 communes
On the morning of August 27, at the Fourth Session (specialized session), the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council unanimously approved the submission on the project to establish 29 wards based on the status quo of 29 communes under Ho Chi Minh City.
The project was built after the city reviewed and evaluated 54 communes currently. The results showed that 29 communes fully met 9/9 criteria according to regulations to establish urban administrative units.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the establishment of 29 wards does not change the natural area, population or total number of commune-level administrative units of the city. This is an adjustment of the type of administrative unit structure, reducing 29 communes and increasing 29 wards.
After completion, Ho Chi Minh City still has 168 commune-level administrative units. However, the structure will change from 113 wards, 54 communes and 1 special zone to 142 wards, 25 communes and 1 special zone.

Khanh Hoa proposes to support up to 1.5 billion VND to attract high-quality human resources
On August 27, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee submitted to the Provincial People's Council a draft Resolution stipulating policies to attract and develop high-quality human resources in the fields of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation.
According to the draft, the policy is applied to high-quality human resources working in Party agencies, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, state administrative agencies and public non-business units under Khanh Hoa province.
After being recruited and admitted to work as civil servants, public employees, and high-quality human resources will be supported once according to qualifications. In which, professors are supported with 1.5 billion VND; associate professors 1.2 billion VND; doctors 1 billion VND; masters 300 million VND and bachelors 250 million VND.

Female Director of the "Come here four birds" show sentenced to 2 years in prison
At noon on August 27, the People's Court of Region 2, Hanoi People's Court sentenced defendant Nguyen Thi Thu Ha - Director of Ngoc Viet Education Co., Ltd. (Ngoc Viet Company) - to 2 years in prison for the crime of "Deceiving customers".
According to the assessment of the Trial Panel, the defendant's actions were serious, directly infringing upon the rights and interests of the victim, causing mental damage to audiences who love authors and artists.
However, the court considered the defendant's sincere confession, partially remedying the consequences, and the family's contributions.
Along with that, the court forced Ha to return all the money from selling tickets to the audience.
