Hanoi offers free visits to scenic spots and historical relics on September 2nd.
The Office of the Hanoi People's Committee has just sent a document to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Department of Finance on opening free visits to scenic spots, historical relics, and paid cultural works in the city on the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2).
Previously, the City People's Committee received Official Dispatch No. 18/TTr-SVHTTDL dated August 18, 2026 of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on opening free visits to scenic spots, historical relics, and paid cultural works in the city on September 2.

Driver speeding, alcohol concentration exceeding the limit fined 42 million VND
On August 25, the Traffic Police Department - Lao Cai Provincial Police informed that the unit had made a record of handling a driver who drove a car exceeding the speed limit and violated alcohol concentration on National Highway 279.
Through inspection, functional forces identified the vehicle driver as T.T. D. The inspection results showed that the alcohol concentration in the driver's breath was at 0.605 mg/liter.
With two violations including driving a car at a speed exceeding the regulated speed from 20-35 km/h and driving a vehicle when the alcohol concentration in his breath exceeded 0.4 mg/liter, Mr. T.T. D. was fined a total of 42 million VND.

Heavy rain causes deep flooding on National Highway 1A through Thanh Hoa
On the morning and noon of August 25, on National Highway 1A, passing through Hoat Giang commune, Thanh Hoa province, deep flooding occurred, affecting the traffic of vehicles.
The flooded location is right in front of the gate of Venus Vietnam Shoe Co., Ltd., stretching about 100m and affecting both directions of traffic. Due to deep flooding, most vehicles passing through this area have to slow down and move slowly to ensure safety.
At the flooded point, functional forces have placed warning signs and guided vehicles to circulate. While large vehicles can still move slowly through the flooded area, many cars and motorbikes choose to follow the bypass road right next to National Highway 1A.
