On July 14, according to Hung Yen Provincial Police, Road Traffic Police Team No. 3, Traffic Police Department discovered and handled a group of teenagers gathering, showing signs of being involved in illegal racing and possessing dangerous weapons.
Accordingly, on the evening of July 12 and early morning of July 13, Traffic Police Team No. 2 under Road Traffic Police Team No. 3, Traffic Police Department organized mobile patrols and controls on roads in the area.
During the patrol, the task force discovered a group of teenagers gathering on the sidewalk of Vo Nguyen Giap street (Tra Ly ward), using phones to film, showing signs of being related to gatherings and racing to cause public disorder.
The task force coordinated with Tra Ly Ward Police to inspect B.T. H. N (born in 2008, residing in Ngoc Lam commune, Hung Yen province), while the remaining subjects fled.
Through struggle, B.T. H. N confessed that three people who went with him fled, including N.D. P (born 2009, residing in Ngoc Lam commune, Hung Yen province), N.T. D (born 2010) and a friend of N.T. D, also residing in Quynh Phu commune, Hung Yen province. According to their confession, this group moved from Quynh Phu commune to watch and film groups of teenagers driving at high speed.
Notably, the group of subjects that B.T. H. N participated in using and storing a sword about 1.1 m long and an iron sword about 1.5 m long, hidden in Quynh Phu commune.
The task force seized the above weapons and handed over the person and exhibits to Quynh Phu Commune Police to continue verifying, investigating, clarifying and handling according to the provisions of law.
