On April 26, according to information from Tra Vinh Provincial Police, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of the Provincial Police has just issued a decision to temporarily detain Huynh Thi Xuan Huong (born in 1992, permanent resident of My Chanh Commune, Chau Thanh District; current residence in Hamlet 8, Ward 7, Tra Vinh City, Tra Vinh Province) for the act of illegally storing and organizing the use of drugs.
According to the initial investigation results, on April 24, Huong held a birthday party at a restaurant in Long Duc commune (Tra Vinh city, Tra Vinh province). At around 11pm the same day, the police force checked and discovered 25 subjects aged 19 - 35 (residing in Cang Long district, Chau Thanh district, Duyen Hai town, Cau Ngang district, Tra Vinh province and Thoai Son district, An Giang province) positive for drugs.
At the scene, the police seized 3 bottles of soft drinks (with drugs); 2 2,000 VND bills containing white crystals (suspected to be drugs) and many other related tools.
The police force searched Huong's residence and discovered and seized another plastic bag containing 12 pink pills, weighing 3.89 grams; 1 plastic bag containing suspected drugs, weighing 1.58 grams.
The case is being further investigated by the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Tra Vinh Provincial Police, who will handle the subjects according to the provisions of law.
