On July 3, Phu An Commune Police (An Giang) said that they had quickly investigated and clarified a motorbike theft case that occurred in the area, recovered exhibits and returned them to the owner.
Previously, on June 24, 2026, Phu An Commune Police received a report from people about the theft of a motorbike. Immediately after receiving the report, the Commune Police urgently deployed forces to review, verify, and clarify the suspect. By professional measures, the Police force quickly identified Khau Thanh Tien (born in 1989, residing in Phu Tan commune, An Giang province) as the person who committed the act of property theft.
On June 25, 2026, the commune police invited Tien to work. At the police station, before the documents and evidence collected, Tien admitted to taking advantage of the property owner's negligence to steal the motorbike. After that, Tien took it to Phu Tan commune to sell for 4.5 million VND for personal spending.
During the investigation, the Commune Police urgently verified, searched and recovered the stolen motorbike, and at the same time completed the procedures to return the property to the owner according to the provisions of law. Currently, the case is being further consolidated by the Commune Police to handle according to the provisions of law.
