Kien Giang Provincial Police recently held an online conference with the Police of districts and cities to summarize Plan No. 371 of the Provincial Police on launching a peak period to ensure order and traffic safety for school-age children.
According to the plan, 15/15 Police units and localities will coordinate with Departments, branches and sectors to simultaneously launch the peak campaign from October 1, 2024. The Traffic Police force of the whole province has seriously implemented the Peak Plan; coordinated with departments, branches and sectors to do a good job of disseminating and educating the law to school-age children; focused on increasing patrols, controlling and strictly handling violations.
Through patrols and controls throughout the province, 740 cases of students violating traffic safety order were detected and handled, with decisions to impose fines totaling more than 429 million VND.

Colonel Nguyen Nhat Truong - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department commended and acknowledged the results achieved during the peak period, thanks to the efforts of functional forces and close coordination between schools, families and the community, the traffic order and safety situation was basically stable.
The Deputy Director of the Provincial Police also requested the Traffic Police force in the whole province to continue to improve their sense of responsibility in ensuring traffic order and safety. Building a safer traffic environment for students, contributing to reducing traffic accidents in the community.
Previously, the provincial Traffic Police force has increased inspections and handled violations against middle and high school students; parents, guardians, and those who transfer vehicles to students without meeting the conditions. At the same time, they have handled vehicle owners and parents transporting students who violate regulations on road and inland waterway transportation.
Focus on handling violations such as: No driving license; not wearing helmet; carrying more people than prescribed; not obeying traffic light signals; driving abreast; going against traffic, weaving in and out of traffic; honking, revving the engine...
