On the morning of June 16, at Regiment 892, An Giang Provincial Military Command organized the Launching Ceremony of the 2026 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign.
At the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Vuong Thanh Trieu, Deputy Head of the Political Department of An Giang Provincial Military Command, launched the 2026 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, calling on officers, soldiers, and youth union members to promote the spirit of "Offensive - Volunteer - Creative - Responsible", actively participate in practical projects and tasks towards the community; promote activities to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas, protect the environment, digital transformation, care for social security and support people in remote, isolated, and border areas.
Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Chau Chac, Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, emphasized that the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign is a widespread political activity, contributing to educating and training the bravery, will, and responsibility of the youth of the provincial armed forces. The comrade requested agencies, units, and Youth Union organizations to deploy practical, effective, and safe activities, associated with the political tasks of the unit and the actual needs of the locality; promote the effectiveness of the "3 linkages" policy including force linkage, local linkage, and community linkage, contributing to consolidating the military-civilian solidarity relationship, building a solid people's heart formation in the area.
On behalf of the youth of the provincial armed forces, representatives of cadres and youth union members of Regiment 892 spoke, promising to resolutely promote the spirit of "Where youth is needed, there is youth, what is difficult, there is youth", taking the lead in undertaking difficult tasks, completing all assigned tasks well, contributing to the successful implementation of the goals of the 2026 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee presented 50 gifts to non-commissioned officers - soldiers in difficult circumstances, militia and self-defense forces, policy families, households in difficult circumstances and poor students overcoming difficulties to study well in Vinh Thanh Trung commune. The activity shows the spirit of mutual affection and responsibility of the youth of the provincial armed forces towards the community, contributing to spreading the beautiful image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the hearts of the people.
The 2026 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign is a peak activity of the youth of the Armed Forces of An Giang province, aiming to promote the pioneering and creative role of youth union members in participating in socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, building new rural areas and civilized urban areas, contributing to the successful implementation of local military and national defense tasks and political tasks of each agency and unit.
Before the launching ceremony took place, delegates, officials, and youth union members organized flower and incense offerings at Chau Phu Martyrs' Cemetery, respectfully commemorating and expressing gratitude for the great contributions of heroic martyrs who bravely sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, construction and defense of the Fatherland.
