On March 29, Dan Dien Commune People's Committee said that recently in the area, there have been 2 consecutive cases of people discovering metal objects suspected of bombs and mines while going to work in the fields.
Specifically, in Lai Ha village, a household discovered a rusty metal object on the ditch bank. After that, in Tram Ngang village, another household continued to discover a similar object and reported it to functional agencies.
Upon receiving the report, Dan Dien Commune Police sent forces to inspect and guide people to maintain the status quo, not to relocate arbitrarily, and at the same time warn of dangerous areas.
After that, the police force coordinated with the Military Command of the commune and functional units to inspect and identify objects that were artillery shells left over from the war.
Currently, all artillery shells have been collected, transported and safely handled according to regulations.
Dan Dien Commune Police recommends that people not contact, dig or move objects suspected of being bombs, mines, and artillery shells; when detected, they should immediately report to functional agencies for timely handling.
