On March 17, Tan Phuoc Ward Police (HCMC) said that they had discovered and filed dossiers to handle 2 subjects with acts of buying, selling, and illegally storing drugs in the area.
Previously, implementing a peak period of attacking and suppressing crimes to ensure security and order, Tan Phuoc Ward Police conducted an administrative inspection of M guesthouse in Song Vinh neighborhood. In one room, functional forces discovered Nguyen Vo Dang Hoang (born in 1982, residing in Ba Diem commune, Ho Chi Minh City) possessing a nylon package suspected of being drugs.
The ward police made a record of seizure, sealed the exhibits and invited the subject to the headquarters to work to verify and clarify. The investigation results determined that the substance in the seized nylon package was crystal meth. Subject Hoang confessed that this amount of drugs was bought from Pham Thi Bich Duyen (born in 1993; residing in Dong Hung Thuan ward, Ho Chi Minh City) and hidden for use.
Functional agencies have also invited subject Duyen to the headquarters to work. Thereby, consolidating the file to transfer to the Investigation Police Agency of Ho Chi Minh City Police to prosecute and temporarily detain two subjects to investigate the crimes of "Illegally possessing drugs"; "Illegally trading drugs".
Tan Phuoc Ward Police also requested accommodation establishments in the area to improve their responsibility in managing population and tenants; proactively monitor and promptly detect suspicious signs related to crime and social evils. When detecting illegal acts, quickly notify the Police agency for coordination and handling.
