On November 30, the Border Guard Command of Quang Binh province said that it had just coordinated with the Department of Justice to organize propaganda, dissemination and education of legal knowledge for more than 100 delegates who are secretaries, village chiefs, heads of the front work committee, village elders, prestigious people and people of Lam Thuy commune (Le Thuy district).
The program belongs to the project "Promoting the role of the People's Army in participating in the dissemination and education of law, mobilizing people to comply with the law at the grassroots level for the period 2021 - 2027".
At the conference, people living on the border were informed about the basic contents of the Vietnam Border Law and documents guiding its implementation; the agreement on border management regulations and land border gates between Vietnam and Laos; the Civil Code and the Law on Marriage and Family.
One of the prominent contents that is strongly promoted is the issue of early marriage and incestuous marriage among ethnic minorities.
The reporters analyzed and clarified the concepts, causes, and harms of early marriage and incestuous marriage; forms and sanctions for violations of regulations on early marriage and incestuous marriage; the roles and responsibilities of Party committees, authorities, relevant forces, and people in the process of preventing, combating, and repelling early marriage and incestuous marriage.
The activities of exchanging and answering questions about legal knowledge have created a lively atmosphere, attracting the active participation of people, contributing to bringing the law into life, raising awareness and sense of law compliance for officials and people in border areas.
Thereby, contributing to maintaining political security, social order and safety, building a comprehensive strong border, gaining the trust of the people to stand side by side with the Border Guard to firmly protect the territorial sovereignty and national border security.
