Launching a campaign to handle encroachment on roadsides and sidewalks in Phuoc Thang ward

Ho Chi Minh City - Phuoc Thang Ward has launched propaganda and mobilized more than 800 business households not to encroach on roadsides; handled a number of cases of intentional violations.

On April 11, Phuoc Thang Ward People's Committee (HCMC) and functional forces launched a campaign to handle administrative violations of urban order and encroachment on roads and sidewalks... in the area.

The force conducted inspections on key roads such as: 30/4 street, 2/9 street, Vo Nguyen Giap street, Nguyen Gia Thieu street, Do Luong street... and worked with each business household and enterprise that are encroaching on and illegally using roads and sidewalks.

More than 1 month ago, Phuoc Thang ward had implemented for business households to sign commitments not to encroach on roadsides. On the launch day of April 11, the forces propagated and mobilized 800 business households on many roads; supported the dismantling and seizure of 20 advertising signs, 4 strollers at households intentionally violating after reminding and mobilizing.

During this process, Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung - Chairman of Phuoc Thang Ward People's Committee - directly met, exchanged, shared, and requested business households and businesses to strictly comply with legal regulations, build a civilized business environment, and join hands with the locality to build Phuoc Thang ward into a civilized and livable city.

According to Phuoc Thang Ward People's Committee, the work of handling administrative violations of urban order and other violations related to roads and sidewalks will continue to be implemented by the locality on all roads in the area. Not stopping at handling violations, the campaigns also aim to change perceptions and form a civilized urban lifestyle in a sustainable way from the self-awareness of each citizen.
