On April 22, information from the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province said that this agency has just issued a document directing the strengthening of fire prevention, fighting and rescue (PCCC and CNCH) in the context of prolonged hot and dry weather, posing many fire and explosion risks.
According to the Provincial People's Committee, recently the fire and explosion situation in the area has had many complicated developments.
Since the beginning of 2026, the whole province has experienced 15 fires, an increase of 10 cases compared to the same period in 2025.
Total property damage is estimated at more than 12 billion VND, an increase of about 10 billion VND compared to the same period in 2025.
Notably, entering the peak of the hot season, high temperatures combined with a sharp increase in electricity demand in households, residential areas and production and business establishments, the risk of fires and explosions is forecast to be very high.
Faced with this situation, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province requested the Provincial Police, the Provincial Military Command, and departments, agencies, branches, mass organizations and local authorities to urgently and synchronously implement key solutions.
In which, units continue to strictly implement the directives of the Secretariat, the Prime Minister, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the plan of the Provincial People's Committee on fire prevention and fighting and rescue work in 2026.
At the same time, promote the movement of the whole people participating in fire prevention and fighting and rescue; consolidate and strengthen the civil defense force, and strengthen professional training.
The Provincial Police is the standing agency of the Provincial Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Steering Committee assigned to preside over, guide, inspect and urge units and localities to implement.
The province also requests localities to replicate models of fire prevention and fighting safety such as "Fire prevention and fighting safety inter-family groups", "Public fire fighting points", "Fire prevention and fighting safety residential areas"; promote propaganda to raise awareness of fire and explosion prevention in the community.
Localities organize reviews and inspections of areas at high fire risk, thoroughly handle dry grass, flammable waste, and strictly manage fire and heat sources. Request facility owners and households to sign commitments to strictly comply with fire prevention and fighting regulations.
Functional forces must improve combat readiness, ensure rapid mobility, effectively handle fire and explosion situations and rescue; organize fire fighting drills, focusing on the motto of early prevention, remote prevention, right at the grassroots level.
