In 2025, the traffic police force of Tay Ninh province discovered and handled 797 cases of students violating traffic safety and order. Through this, functional agencies temporarily seized 788 motorbikes with a total amount of fines estimated at more than 3.64 billion VND.
Among the violations, there were 21 students violating alcohol concentration, 12 cases of speeding and 640 cases related to the act of handing over or leaving vehicles to people who are not qualified to drive vehicles.
Records at the gate area of some schools in Tan Ninh ward show that most students and parents have complied with the helmet wearing regulation when participating in traffic. However, there is still a situation where students drive motorbikes and electric vehicles without helmets, running red lights, carrying more people than prescribed or going against traffic flow, posing a potential risk of traffic unsafety.
Captain Nguyen Phan La Nghi - Patrol and control officer of Road Traffic Police Team No. 1, said that students are a group with limited awareness of traffic laws. In addition, parents' lack of management or handing over vehicles to their children when they are not qualified to drive also contributes to increasing violations.
In the coming time, the traffic police force of Tay Ninh province will continue to strengthen patrols, strictly handle violations, and coordinate with schools and parents to raise students' awareness of traffic law compliance.
