On August 5, Gia Lai Provincial Police said they are consolidating the file to handle young man N.T (born 2007, residing in Quy Nhon Dong ward) after discovering that this person tested positive for 5 groups of drugs.
According to initial information, at about 3 pm on August 3, during patrol and control on Nguyen Thai Hoc street, Quy Nhon area, the task force discovered N.T. was both driving a motorbike and using a phone, so they stopped the vehicle for administrative inspection.
During the working process, recognizing that N.T had suspicious signs, the police force took the person and vehicle to the headquarters to continue checking and verifying according to regulations.
Through inspection, the police discovered in N.T's motorbike trunk a blue tool, inside which there were still a few unidentified brown debris; a cigarette pack containing a ziplock-shaped nylon bag and a plastic straw.
Checking N.T's mobile phone, functional forces also discovered many messages with content suspected of being related to drug transactions.
Conducting a rapid drug test, the police determined that N.T tested positive for 5 groups of substances including MDMA (ecstasy), THC (cannabis), MET (methamphetamine), KET (ketamine) and AMP (amphetamine).
Currently, N.T, the vehicle and related objects have been handed over to functional units to continue verifying the origin, clarifying the actions of related individuals and handling according to regulations.
