At the conference on April 9, delegates listened to a summary report on the operating results of local military organizations after implementing the 2-level local government model. Accordingly, the Provincial Military Command has thoroughly grasped and seriously implemented resolutions and directives of higher levels; proactively advised Party committees and local authorities to lead and direct the effective implementation of military and national defense tasks.
The work of organizing force building has been implemented closely and in accordance with regulations; the system of Commune-level Military Commands has been consolidated and reasonably arranged. Training, combat readiness, building regularity, and discipline management have had many positive changes; training quality has been improved, ensuring absolute safety. Logistics, technical, and financial work has been ensured promptly, meeting task requirements. Party work and political work have been comprehensively implemented; the consolidation of Party organizations, the development of party members, and political and ideological education have been seriously implemented. Mass mobilization work, military rear policies, and searching and repatriating martyrs' remains continue to be concerned and effectively implemented.

However, the conference also frankly pointed out some limitations and difficulties such as: the coordination between agencies and units in some contents is still not synchronized; the work of grasping and managing the area is sometimes not deep; facilities and equipment in some units are still lacking; the advisory capacity of some officials has not met the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
Speaking to direct at the conference, Major General Nguyen Minh Trieu - Deputy Commander of Military Region 9 acknowledged and praised the results that the Provincial Military Command has achieved in the past time. At the same time, he requested that in the coming time, the Provincial Military Command continue to thoroughly grasp the resolutions and directives of the Party, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense and the Military Region; proactively advise Party committees and local authorities to well perform military and national defense tasks. The Deputy Commander of the Military Region emphasized the need to continue to consolidate the organization and staff according to the new model; improve the quality of training and combat readiness; promote regularization, discipline compliance; pay attention to ensuring good logistics and technology; focus on building a contingent of cadres to meet task requirements.

Concluding the conference, Major General Nguyen Van Nganh - Commander of An Giang Provincial Military Command received the directions of the Military Region leaders; requested agencies and units to seriously draw experience, overcome limitations; continue to promote the achieved results, improve the quality of operations of local military organizations, contributing to building an increasingly solid provincial defense area, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
