On the evening of January 21, Bao Loc city authorities were still mobilizing forces to coordinate with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Region 3 (under Lam Dong Provincial Police) to deploy measures to search for a drowning victim at Mai Thanh irrigation lake, Loc Tien ward.
Initial information, the suspected drowning victim is Mr. T (37 years old), residing in Tan Chau commune, Di Linh district.
Mr. T was working for a household raising fish in cages at Mai Thanh irrigation lake. At around 4:00 p.m. the same day, while harvesting fish in cages at the irrigation lake, the cage's rope unfortunately broke.
At this time, Mr. T swam out to the middle of the water to hold the fish cage. A moment later, the people above did not see Mr. T surface so they rowed out together to look for him but could not find him.
The incident was then reported to local authorities and authorities intervened to assist in the search for the missing victim.
Because the water in Mai Thanh irrigation lake is deep and wide, the location where the victim was found drowning is nearly 8 meters deep, making it difficult for authorities to search.
