On July 25, Chau Pha Commune People's Committee (HCMC) said it is organizing the first payment of compensation and support to households whose land is recovered to implement component project 1-1 (compensation, support, resettlement and construction of service roads in HCMC, the section from Toc Tien - Chau Pha intersection to Chau Duc bridge) in the Ring Road 4 HCMC construction investment project.
Previously, the locality had organized dialogues and received people's opinions to complete the compensation, support, and resettlement plan. Through this, the Chau Pha Commune Construction Investment Project Management Board organized the payment of compensation money to households according to the approved plan.
In the first phase, 118/269 households with land in the area received compensation and support with a total cost of more than 235 billion VND. At the payment point, many households were present early to complete procedures to receive compensation and support money according to regulations.
According to Chau Pha Commune People's Committee, the payment work is taking place urgently, in accordance with procedures, creating conditions for households to soon stabilize their lives and implement the next steps after handing over the land. Payment will continue to be implemented for the remaining households after completing the procedures according to regulations. The locality will also organize commendation and encouragement for households to soon complete procedures to receive compensation and support money and hand over the land.
Ring Road 4 is about 207km long, passing through localities including Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai and Tay Ninh. In which, the 47km section through the northern area of Ho Chi Minh City was started in June 2025. The remaining sections have a total length of about 160km, with a total capital of more than 120,400 billion VND, divided into 10 component projects, including 5 projects for compensation, support, resettlement and construction of service roads with public investment capital; and 5 projects to build expressways in the form of public-private partnership (PPP).
When completed, the route will directly connect a series of key expressways including Bien Hoa - Vung Tau, Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay, Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh, Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai and Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong; creating a continuous logistics axis from the Central Highlands, Southwest to Long Thanh airport and seaport.
