Historical milestone
The first great turning point - April 30, 1975 - the successful Ho Chi Minh campaign, opened a new era for the entire Vietnamese nation.
Saigon - Gia Dinh, after many years of bombs and bullets, has officially risen from war, wearing the color of peace, independence and unity.
Just one year later, at the first session of the 6th National Assembly, the name Ho Chi Minh City was officially established.
Not only an administrative event, but it is also a sacred affirmation of deep gratitude to the Father of the nation, as well as the aspiration to integrate into a city that was once the most vibrant center of Southeast Asia.
The journey of construction and construction
Right after the great victory, Ho Chi Minh City entered a new journey - the journey of healing, of reconstruction, and of the dream of rebuilding life.
The "For the Fatherland Front" movement in 1979 spread strongly, carrying the spirit of sharing from the heart.
At the same time, the Youth Volunteer movement - originating in 1994 - is like the burning fire of youth. Poverty reduction programs have been launched since 1992.

Marking cultural identity and gratitude
Not only is Ho Chi Minh City resilient in socio-economic values, it also knows how to preserve and nurture cultural values and the ethics of drinking water with a mindful water source.
In 1993, Ben Duoc Martyrs Memorial Temple was inaugurated in the legendary land of Cu Chi.
The Monument to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers - completed in 1997 - deeply engraved the immortal image of the silent mothers who sacrificed.
In 1998, the whole city was looking forward to a proud milestone - the 300th anniversary of the founding of Saigon - Ho Chi Minh City.
Steady forward
From those first historical milestones, Ho Chi Minh City today has risen to become a vivid symbol of the will, courage and aspiration of Vietnam.
