Awarding 100 scholarships to support poor students in Dong Nai

Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Son Hung awarded scholarships to poor students and asked departments and branches to continue paying attention to child care and education.

On December 4, Dong Nai Newspaper organized the 22nd "Overcoming Difficulties for the Future Scholarship" program (2024-2025 school year) and awarded 100 scholarships (worth 2 million VND/scholarship) to poor students in the area.

Mr. Dao Van Tuan - Editor-in-Chief of Dong Nai Newspaper - said that the program "Overcoming Difficulties for the Future Scholarship" has helped more students in difficult circumstances and students with serious illnesses to go to school, lighting up the future ahead.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Son Hung also hopes that relevant departments and branches will continue to pay more attention to child care and education, especially improving the quality of physical education for students, because only with good health can one have the intelligence to study well.

The Overcoming Difficulties for the Future Scholarship was established in 2001. Up to now, after 22 times of organization, 2,771 students have received scholarships with a total amount of more than 4 billion VND. The value of the scholarships has been adjusted to match the actual study costs of students.
