Speaking at the award ceremony, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien assessed: The award ceremony is an important event, not only to honor the winning press works, but also to affirm the positive role of the contest in propaganda, dissemination of awareness and promoting environmental protection actions in the whole industry and society.
After three times of organization, the contest has had a high influence and received widespread support from journalists inside and outside the industry. The contest not only creates a forum with useful expertise, but also becomes an important information channel, contributing to bringing environmental issues of the Industry and Trade sector closer to the public in a lively, objective and responsible way.

Practice shows that a clean environment is the highest goal that every country, including Vietnam, is aiming for. Environmental protection is a difficult and complex field, related to many intertwined subjects and benefits. In that context, the press plays a particularly important role in honestly reflecting objectively, analyzing and explaining problems appropriately.
Thereby, contributing to orienting social awareness and promoting the participation of management agencies, the business community and people. The contest is an environment to encourage authors to go deep into practice, discover problems, highlight good models, effective ways of doing things, and frankly point out the limitations and shortcomings that need attention and handling.
The Minister also assessed that this year's Press and Press Contest on Environmental Protection of the Industry and Trade sector continues to record the active and responsible participation of many press agencies, reporters, professional and non-professional journalists, collaborators, experts and researchers.
In just a short time of launching, the Organizing Committee has received hundreds of entries in many different genres. The works reflect a variety of perspectives on environmental protection in the Industry and Trade sector, from practical reflections, problem detection, to analysis, solution recommendations... Many articles express elaborate investment, depth, closely following reality, showing the dedication and high social responsibility of the authors.
The remarkable point of this year's contest is that the quality of works is increasingly improved, the content is increasingly in-depth, not stopping at reflecting phenomena, but focusing on analyzing causes, assessing impacts and proposing solutions. 20 works selected for awards through serious and fair competition rounds are works with practical reference value for management, operation and communication on environmental protection.

To achieve that result, the Organizing Committee of the contest has made many innovations in its organization, from building rules, expanding the target audience, to classifying works according to field groups, ensuring science, transparency and fairness in award judging. The jury worked seriously, impartially, and responsibly to select outstanding works that deserved to be honored at the ceremony.
The Press Competition on "Environmental Protection of the Industry and Trade Sector in 2025" recognizes the participation of 300 works from central and local press agencies, independent authors and a team of experts and collaborators. This is a number that shows the strong attraction of the contest in press life and in public opinion. As a result, 20 works were selected to award the Special prizes, thematic prizes, A, B, C prizes, and Encouragement prizes.
