The Prime Minister signed and issued Decree No. 40/2025/ND-CP stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on February 26.
On March 3, 2025, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien signed decisions to appoint cadres (after streamlining) to head units. Below is the list of heads of units under the Ministry of Industry and Trade after streamlining as follows:

The Standing Committee of the Party Committee also issued a decision to appoint Mr. To Xuan Bao to the position of Chief of the Party Committee Office of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
