On December 28, the Vietnam National Mine Action Center coordinated with the Quang Ninh Provincial Military Command (CHQS) to jointly organize a conference to summarize communication and education work to raise awareness of bomb and mine accident prevention and avoidance, explosives in 2025.
According to the Quang Ninh Provincial Military Command, Quang Ninh is a area heavily affected by bombs and mines after the war, with about 173,667ha of soil polluted, accounting for nearly 30% of the entire province's area. Up to now, only more than 15,800ha have been cleared, and the remaining bombs and mines still pose many risks of unsafety for people.
In 2025, the province implemented many effective communication activities, typically the "School Ambassadors in overcoming the consequences of bombs and explosives left by the war" contest at 15 primary and secondary schools, attracting nearly 14,000 students to participate;
Mobile film screenings and live radio propaganda programs in 9 communes and wards heavily affected by bomb and mine pollution such as Hoanh Mo, Quang Duc, Hai Son... and at the same time promote propaganda with banners and posters.

These activities have contributed to raising the awareness of the people, especially the young generation, about the harms of bombs, mines, and explosives; How to recognize and prevent accidents caused by bombs, mines, and explosives in labor and production.
At the conference, the Organizing Committee presented gifts of support to 10 bomb and mine victims in difficult circumstances; At the same time, commending 2 collectives and 37 individuals who won prizes in the "School Ambassadors Join Hands to Prevent Bomb and Mine Accidents and Explosives in 2025" contest.
In the coming time, Quang Ninh province will continue to promote coordination in reviewing bomb and mine pollution areas, diversify propaganda forms, and promote the effectiveness of multimedia communication and social networks to minimize bomb and mine accidents, contributing to ensuring safety for people and socio-economic development in the area.
