On the afternoon of May 28, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) organized the Sao Khue 2026 Award Ceremony, honoring typical digital technology platforms, products and solutions of Vietnam.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Khac Lich - Director of the Department of Information Technology Industry (Ministry of Science and Technology) emphasized that we are entering a new era of human development - a period of comprehensive transformation using artificial intelligence.
If the previous industrial revolution was driven by electricity, machinery or the Internet, the current revolution is led by AI, data and computing power.
According to Mr. Nguyen Khac Lich, AI is no longer just a new technology. AI is becoming a new infrastructure of the nation. Computing capabilities, data and AI are gradually becoming electricity, roads and water of the digital economy. AI will fundamentally change the way people work, study, produce, manage, conduct scientific research, provide public services and operate society.
In the coming period, whichever country masters AI, that country will have a new competitive advantage. Whichever enterprise applies AI faster, that enterprise will increase productivity faster. Whichever industry transitions to AI sooner, that industry will create greater added value. And whichever nation takes advantage of AI to improve intelligence, productivity and national governance capacity, that nation will make a strong breakthrough in the new era," Mr. Lich emphasized.
Representatives of the Ministry of Science and Technology emphasized that for Vietnam, AI is not just a technology opportunity. AI is a historic opportunity. “This is an opportunity for Vietnam to implement comprehensive national transformation with AI; transform the growth model; improve labor productivity; modernize national governance; develop the digital economy; build a digital society; and create new development momentum for the country in the coming decades,” Mr. Lich said.
According to Mr. Nguyen Khac Lich, the products honored today are not only the result of innovation, but also proof of the maturity of Vietnamese digital technology businesses - businesses that are gradually mastering technology, mastering data, mastering platforms and gradually affirming Vietnam's position on the global digital technology map.
Also at the event, VINASA for the first time announced the "Vietnam Digital Technology Solution Map 2026" - a reference system to position national digital technology capacity and build a transparent and synchronous digital ecosystem.
According to VINASA, the map is built in the context of a rapidly developing technology market with thousands of products and platforms serving digital transformation. Standardization according to a common reference system is expected to help businesses clearly define their position, orient appropriate development strategies, and at the same time support management agencies and research organizations to build a more transparent and synchronous evaluation system for Vietnam's digital technology industry.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Truong Gia Binh - Chairman of the Founding Council of VINASA said that Vietnamese technology businesses are gradually affirming their position in the international market.
Many solutions on AI, blockchain and cloud computing developed by Vietnamese businesses have participated in large projects and contracts in Japan, Europe and North America, contributing to making Vietnam a digital service and innovation center of the region," Mr. Truong Gia Binh said.
