The Vietnam Water Supply and Discharge Association (VWSA) has just announced the organization of Vietnam Water Week 2026 with the theme: "Digital transformation - strengthening the adaptability of the water industry in the new era". The event will take place from September 16-18, 2026 at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Culture Palace, 91 Tran Hung Dao, Hanoi.
In the context that Vietnam and the world are facing increasing challenges in water resources, climate change, rapid urbanization and the requirement to modernize technical infrastructure, the water supply and drainage industry is facing strong innovation requirements in technology, management models and operating capacity.
Digital transformation, improving the efficiency of water resource use, ensuring water security and strengthening resilience to the impacts of climate change are becoming top priorities of the industry.
As an important part of the national essential infrastructure system, the water supply and drainage sector not only ensures the living needs of people but also plays an important role in community health, socio-economic development, environmental protection and improving the adaptive capacity of cities in the future.

Continuing the success of previous organizations, Vietnam Water Week 2026 continues to affirm its position as an important annual event of Vietnam's water industry, and at the same time gradually become one of the prestigious specialized forums in Southeast Asia.
The specialized exhibition area has an area of about 4,000 m2, expected to gather 200 organizations and businesses with about 250 booths from 20 countries and territories. Participating businesses and organizations will introduce advanced technologies, equipment, solutions and management models.
In parallel with the exhibition activities, VWW2026 will organize a series of thematic seminars with the participation of state management agencies, international organizations, experts, scientists and domestic and international businesses.
Through seminars, exhibitions, business connection (B2B Matching Program) and technical exchange activities, Vietnam Water Week 2026 will create a practical connection space between management agencies, businesses, development organizations and experts to promote innovation, share international experiences and strengthen cooperation in the water sector.

In particular, for the first time, Vietnam Water Week is organized simultaneously with the National Congress of the Vietnam Water Supply and Drainage Association term VII (2026 – 2031). This will be an important event for the Vietnamese water sector community in the next 5 years, marking a generational leadership transition, and identifying strategic development orientations for the sector in the context of digital transformation, climate change and the requirements of national infrastructure modernization.
Sharing about this year's event, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Diep - Chairman of the Vietnam Water Supply and Drainage Association said that the water industry is entering a deep transformation phase under the impact of digital technology, climate change and sustainable development requirements. Digital transformation not only helps improve management and operation efficiency but also contributes to strengthening forecasting capacity, risk management and ensuring water security.
Vietnam Water Week 2026 is not only a place to introduce advanced technologies and solutions but also a forum for policymakers, businesses, experts and international partners to exchange experiences, share knowledge and build cooperation initiatives for the sustainable development of the Vietnamese water sector and the region," said Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Diep.
