The incident occurred at around 12:40 p.m. the same day. At that time, residents of Phuoc Am village, Binh Trieu commune, Thang Binh district discovered a couple dead at a lime kiln, suspected to have been suffocated by toxic gas. Immediately afterwards, residents reported it to local authorities.
Upon receiving the information, the Thang Binh District Police force coordinated with the Quang Nam Provincial Police to promptly arrive at the scene to investigate and conduct an autopsy.
“Through identification of the victims, Mr. Pham Ngoc Ph (73 years old, lime kiln owner) died on the spot and his wife, Mrs. Ho Thi D (66 years old), died on the way to the emergency room.
Police are investigating the cause of the incident.
